Have you or your colleagues delivered a piece of work this year that you feel should be celebrated more widely? Is there a network you would like to shine the spotlight on? Why not submit a nomination for a Civil Service Award?
This has been an extraordinary year for the Civil Service, making it more important than ever to recognise the brilliant efforts of civil servants. The Civil Service Awards 2020 are now open for nominations, looking to recognise a colleague or colleagues who have worked on something this year that you think should be celebrated more widely.
The annual awards ceremony gives you the chance to share with the rest of the workforce what you have done to raise the bar and actively contribute for the citizen. Last year we received over 1,250 nominations for the Civil Service Awards.
With 16 categories, ranging from ‘Rising Star’ to ‘Collaboration’, ‘Communication and Engagement’ to ‘Digital, Data & Technology’ and Science, the awards give you the opportunity to showcase your excellent work to the rest of the Civil Service, share innovation and best practice, and get the recognition you deserve.
Your entries will be reviewed by category champions, made up of senior leaders from across the Civil Service. Your nomination will raise the profile of your work, and if lucky enough to be shortlisted, you will be invited, alongside your fellow nominees and senior leaders, to attend a virtual awards ceremony in February 2021.
The nomination process is simple, and can be completed now via the Civil Service Awards website.
We will be accepting nominations until Friday 16th October and look forward to seeing the great work you have been doing as part of a brilliant Civil Service.
