We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual to help us deliver talent and leadership development across the Government Science and Engineering Profession (GSEP). Through management and development of the Profession's specialist Science and Engineering Fast Stream, Early Talent including apprenticeships, non Fast Stream talent schemes and developing a leadership offer for the profession, your role will integral in achieving this ambition together. You will be supported to deliver your role through a collaborative leadership culture at Government Office for Science who are committed to development and inclusion.
This role has both operational and strategic responsibilities and the successful candidate should have:• excellent leadership skills,
• be a great communicator; and
• must be confident working with interested partners at all levels to deliver a range of projects across their portfolio.

This role sits within the GSE Profession and People Capability Team. The team is led by a Grade 6 and is one of two other teams led by the Deputy Director, Systems, Science, Innovation and Capability Team within Government Office for Science.
