SEO Research and Development (R&D) Pipeline Manager at the Ministry of Defence.
This is a great opportunity for officials with a passion for science and engineering to apply their skills towards improving an entire R&D ecosystem. You will work as part of MOD’s R&D System Implementation Programme, who are tasked with improving Defence’s understanding of R&D, and driving through change to help it deliver early-stage technology in to late-stage capability. You will work to a G7 to create ‘R&D Pipelines’ collecting data on R&D projects to analyse the current effectiveness of different parts of the system, and to identify ways of improving them. This will involve building relationships, (across all parts of Defence, from scientists to capability development leads) collecting data and undertaking analysis, and taking responsibility for crafting recommendations and designing solutions to tackle system-level R&D challenges.
We are looking for a well-organised official, comfortable engaging with technical topics and data (particularly areas unfamiliar to them), who can communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders, and who is enthusiastic about tackling ‘wicked problems’.
