The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) are recruiting for a new Grade 6 Chief of Staff to the Chief Scientific Adviser (CSA). This role presents an exciting opportunity within the newly formed DBT, to work closely with the CSA and team to establish the DBT science system. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing delivery of the CSA team’s long-term plan as well as the CSA's day to day operations of the CSA team, ensuring this reflects the CSA’s priorities.
The successful candidate will have a background or experience working in science, engineering or technology. They will have experience leading a team, with strong organisation and prioritisation skills, and being accountable for the delivery of a range of functions to high standards.
