The role
The two roles are based in the Chief Scientific Adviser’s (CSA) Office in the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and part of the newly formed Science Strategy, Policy and Emerging Technologies team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the team delivering a new science function within the CSA Office, working at the heart of the science system in DESNZ. The post will support the delivery of science and evidence to underpin Departmental input into cross-Whitehall discussions and decisions on the Government’s Science Policy. This work spans across areas including emerging technologies such as AI, Quantum and Engineering biology, as well as other high-priority policy areas that have important overlaps with the Department’s priorities, such as Space and Critical Minerals.
