The role
The FCDO’s Research Advisory Group provides strategic guidance, rapid insights, and independent challenge to help achieve the FCDO’s ambitious global research and development objectives.
The FCDO is expanding the group and invites applications from senior experts from academia or industry for 4 additional members in the fields of:
- education or employment
- women and girls
- technology and innovation
- big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI)
Applicants from the Global South and underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. These are unpaid positions, with members needing to make a commitment to attend quarterly meetings, in person or virtually.

Please send CV of no more than two sides of A4 with the e-mail addresses of two referees and supporting statement of no more than 1,000 words (setting out how essential criteria and the area of expertise being applied for is met) to CSA-PO@fcdo.gov.uk by 31st January.
