The Government Office for Science is advertising 2x SEO Vacancies for existing Civil Service Employees. One is in the Chief Scientific Advisors Team and the other is in the Science Capability Review Implementation and Science Systems Lead Team. Chief Scientific Advisor Network Lead (SEO Grade)
This role oversees the Network of Chief Scientific Advisors across government. This involves managing regular cross Government CSA, deputy CSA and CSA Officials meetings, supporting the GCSA on all matters relating to departmental CSAs and recognising opportunities and upcoming priorities for the Network.

Science Capability Review Implementation and Science Systems Lead Team (SEO Grade)
This is a new role to lead on science systems in support of the implementation of the Science Capability Review and you will have significant opportunity to shape and lead this work. In this role you would develop an understanding of how the government science system connects with policy making and into academia and industry, identifying how and where government can best use those systems to improve science capability in government and ensure provision of prompt, and excellent scientific advice.
