G6 Head of Climate Science Research and Domestic Policy Support (BEIS)
I am looking for an enthusiastic scientist to work as a G6 in the friendly and supportive team Climate Science Team on key science issues to underpin the Government’s Net Zero ambitions. This a leadership role where you would be responsible for overseeing the £20m climate science research programme and the scientific input into a range of BEIS domestic policies on issues including land use and greenhouse gas removals. You would also lead on setting the strategic direction and ensuring delivery of our underpinning national climate science capability to support government. I am looking for a highly motivated, strategic thinker, with experience of developing scientific evidence and an ability to translate complex technical insights into meaningful advice to support policy development and delivery. The role is eligible for a Science Specialist Pay Enhancement of £4,250 p.a
