This blog post is a collection of vacancies, events and learning and development opportunities for people working in Government Science and Engineering.
Learning Opportunity: Government Data Science Conference, 24th April
This event will highlight how data science is being applied to challenges across government. It's also an opportunity to connect communities interested in the better use of data in government including policy makers, analysts and data scientists. We've created an open call inviting proposals for show and tells, demos and short talks at the event. Applications close 28 February. We're welcoming individuals and teams who would like to talk about a specific project they've worked on, an aspect of data science (i.e. machine learning), or how they've approached building data science capabilities in their team. Register your interest in attending now.
Learning Opportunities: Civil Service Learning
As we prepare for our end of year performance reviews, there are learning activities in the Civil Service Learning (CSL) curriculum which can help you get the most out of these vitally important conversations.
You might want to sharpen up your communication skills or learn more about the impact they have. Or perhaps benefit from learning about performance management, coaching and mentoring, giving feedback or how to improve your leadership behaviours. All these topics, and more, feature in the new-look curriculum.
Visit the CSL website where you can search and browse by subject area or by your personal interests and learning needs.
