Give us 90 minutes to change government science and engineering

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Capability & Skills

We are working with the Prime Minister’s Office and Cabinet Office Communications to develop a new strategy which will demonstrate the impact of government science and engineering across the Civil Service.

To kick this off, the Government Office for Science is calling on all civil servants who have a passion for science and engineering because we want to hear your views!

Are you a policy maker who could have used science advice to inform a policy recommendation, but didn’t know where to look?

Are you an engineer who has expert knowledge to share that you know policymakers could put to use, but you’re not sure how to make this happen?

We are looking for people from all grades with STEM or policy backgrounds to join 90-minute focus groups around the country. We want to hear your honest experiences of how science, engineering and policy interact, and what needs to happen to make this work better. All we ask if that you come willing to share your views openly, and in return we will provide anonymity and use your input to change the way government science and engineering works

We will be holding a few groups over the autumn, so if you’d like to take part, simply send an email to GSE@go-science.gov.uk today registering your interest, and we’ll send you more details and make sure we put you in the right focus group.
