Strategy and Delivery team roles in GO-Science

GO-Science are expanding and over the coming months you will see roles being advertised across the organisation. One major area of focus is our Covid response.

The GO-Science Covid teams support the Government Chief Scientific Advisor (GCSA) and SAGE to provide independent, high quality, consensus-based science advice to the Prime Minister and Cabinet on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. We have two teams; Advice and Evidence,  responsible for leading the pipeline of issues and analyses brought to SAGE as well as the dissemination of SAGE advice and evidence to policymakers and operational agencies; and Strategy and Delivery, responsible for all support functions such as international engagement, publishing SAGE material, coordinating the national Core Studies programme, Inquiry preparedness, forward planning and resourcing and answering PQS/FOIs.

Initially the following posts are being advertised in the Strategy and Delivery team.

More Covid roles will be advertised soon, along with vacancies in the new expanded GO-Science structure.

G6 S&T roles in DFT

There are 3 senior science roles available in DfT.  Two are in national security and science and technology, and one will be supporting DfT’s Chief Scientific Adviser.  All will cover the full range of the department’s needs, and come at a crucial time where the role of science advice is increasing in importance and impact. Please contact either Tom Salter (tom.salter@dft.gov.uk) or Siobhan Campbell (Siobhan.campbell@dft.gov.uk) for more details.

Closing date is Monday 10th August.

Senior posts covering Science, Technology, Innovation and Analysis

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for up to three science-based roles in the Department for Transport. Two will be in national security science and technology (S&T), and one will be supporting DfT’s Chief Scientific Adviser.

The two roles that sit within the National Security Science and Research (NSSR) division cover the full breadth of the department’s transport security S&T needs. More information can be found here.

Closing date is Monday 10th August
