DHSC: Genomic Science and Emerging Technologies- HEO

The Genomic Science and Emerging Technologies team within the Department for Health and Social Care are recruiting for a Science Policy Officer (HEO). The team has a broad remit including policy on genomic science, emerging technologies associated with human genetics such as cell and gene therapy, rare diseases and genetics and insurance.

The role will involve working on topics across the GSET team on briefing, speech writing, parliamentary work including PQs and submissions to ministers. You will be part of a small friendly and supportive team that aims to provide individuals with an opportunity to develop and progress. You will be expected to work flexibly, contributing to other branch work streams e.g. rare diseases, stem cell and genome editing policy and wider SRE work as appropriate.
