GSE Customer Charter

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: GSE Offer

The Government Science & Engineering (GSE) Profession Team sits within the Government Office for Science. Our purpose is to deliver the GSE Profession Strategy for its 10,000 strong and growing membership.  We also want to increase our reach in government, showcase science and engineering in government and build science and engineering skills capability.  Visit our blog  for our latest updates and to see what else we’re up to.

This customer charter sets out how we will treat and work with our members and stakeholders and reflects the Government Office for Science’s people values. We have one request, that our members and stakeholders treat us in the same way.

The GSE Customer Charter commitments are:

Collaboration: We pride ourselves on collaborating with our members to develop GSE products and interventions.

Openness: Like our members we are curious and open minded to new ideas.  We also seek to improve the way we  work.

Kindness: We are inclusive, respectful, and compassionate at all times to our members and stakeholders.

Integrity: We always strive to do the right thing, act with integrity remain moral, honest and transparent.

Sir Patrick Vallance, Head of the Government Science & Engineering Profession, has outlined his support the charter:
'This customer charter sets  out how the Profession Team  will work with GSE members and stakeholders.  Responding in kind will ensure we achieve our shared agenda and create an inclusive culture.’

We recognise that from time to time you may have a request, a query, an idea or a complaint. Our governance has been set up to capture your input with these values in mind by feeding back on how we can improve at the monthly GSE Community of Practice meetings (details found in each GSE newsletter). Or for small items sending us an email at gse@go-science.gov.uk

For complaints send us an email at gse.complaints@go-science.gov.uk and these will be reviewed by the team's SLT.   Please visit the GSE blog for more info on our governance and offer.
