Vacancy: Senior Engineering Specialist, Department for Transport

The International Vehicle Standards division provides the department’s professional automotive engineering expertise, to frame and deliver government policy.  It negotiates vehicle related standards at international fora, such as the United Nations, provides specialist advice to policy areas across the department and leads technology research.  As a Senior Engineer, you will be helping to provide expert advice to ministers on issues such as delivering safer, cleaner and quieter road vehicles and enabling the uptake of new and emerging technologies including driverless cars and electric vehicles.  More information can be found  on the Civil Service jobs website.  The closing date is 26th September 2016.

Vacancy: Radiation Specialist Inspector, Health and Safety Executive

Do you have technical expertise in the safety of electromagnetic fields, optical radiation or ionising radiation protection? Are you interested in using your knowledge and experience to improve protection standards for workers and the public in the UK? You can do this as a radiation specialist inspector with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). HSE offers you the opportunity to work in a wide variety of workplaces doing different roles. Vacancy: Safety Assessor (Toxicologist), Veterinary Medicines Directorate

The Veterinary Medicines Directorate has a vacancy for a Grade 7 Safety Assessor (Toxicologist) in Addlestone, Surrey. The core work of this post is to assess the user, consumer and environmental safety data submitted in support of national and European applications for pharmaceutical products and feed additives.
