DCMS are hiring a Head of Technical Engagement (Grade 6). The UK supports a free, open and secure Internet, enabling economic and social development and protecting human rights.
These aims are increasingly challenged by authoritarian governments that seek to impose greater inter-governmental control of the Internet and shape the standards for emerging technology at global standards bodies in line with their values.
In this role you would work with like-minded countries to promote a free, open and secure Internet and shape priority global digital technical standards on future internet architecture.
